Spring Madness Sale Our Spring Madness Sale has been a huge success with many of the lines offered completely sold out.
Some excellent lines still remain in certain sizes, so if you're after large numbers of stock suitable for mass planting, it's worth checking for availability here: http://www.oratianatives.co.nz/SpringMadness
As before, stock is being sold on an "as is, where is" basis with a suggested minimum number of 500 plants per sale. This stock is held at our second nursery site, so an appointment should be made to view the plants. Some are hardy rather than pretty, but the number of customers who returned for another trailer or truck load confirms that they're great value for money.
We are watching with interest the growth of some that were bought and planted soon after the sale began. This is certainly the right time to see the results of your efforts.
Sale prices for smaller numbers For those whose needs are more modest, we have maintained some specially marked beds for selected older stock which is offered at much reduced "clearance" prices.
Oratia's future To paraphrase Mark Twain, rumours of our death are greatly exaggerated.
We've had a few enquiries which suggest that some people have interpreted our sale to mean we are closing down. This is definitely not the case!
Far from closing down, we are now enjoying being able to focus on our core values, having made the conscious decision to step back from the mass revegetation market. As we have observed in previous Updates, the price structure in this segment of the market has become unsustainable, and trying to compete was preventing us from focusing on what we know and love best - expanding the range and knowledge of native plants available in New Zealand.
Visit us to discover gems you didn't know existed. Develop your garden with plants that nature designed for the conditions. Provide a conservation sanctuary for plants that are threatened in the wild.
We look forward to providing a value-added experience for our customers well into the future.
Regards, The plant-loving team at Oratia. |
