Coprosma rhamnoides
Height: 1.5m;  Spread: 1m
Shrub
Dense, 1.5m. Tightly divaricating shrub with very small leaves. Plant several to get dark red fruit on the female. Can be shaped as desired.

Coprosma flowers are dioecious and wind-pollinated. Shown are the rigid female flowers with paired stigma.
I think this is Coprosma rhamnoides. A small natural group of them grow in poor dry soil under kanukas on Clifton hillside in Golden Bay. At least this one is a female with wonderful bright deep red berries!
