Karo (Tree)
Coastal, very hardy. Night scented dark red flowers. The grey foliage looks quite like Pohutukawa.

Tui in August flowering Karo. Karo provides nectar for Tui and other birds and in the autumn/winter the sticky black seeds in pods are also good bird food eg Tui and Kaka.
