Cordyline australis purpurea
Was told this was a mountain cabbage tree, it has bronze leaves and purply-pink sprays of flowers. In my garden in Waitakere.

Thanks to Terri Stevenson for sharing this photo!

Hi Terri I think it is probably a mature Cordyline 'Purple Tower" which has faded in colour - perhaps from lack of nutrient. I wish it was a mountain cabbage tree growing in Auckland but they have much larger leaves and are notoriously difficult in cultivation (except in the North of Scotland!)
