Coprosma waima

Family
Rubiaceae

Distribution
Found in the Waima ranges of the North Island. This is a nationally endangered species.

Description
A shrub of 1-1.5m high by 1m wide with dark-green sessile leaves. A compact plant growing outwards almost like a fountain. Its flowers are insignificant in appearance but profuse, and it flowers in autumn and spring.

Cultivation
It needs full sun and a sheltered position in moist or dry soils. It may require trimming if a more compact form is required, but this would not need to be done regularly. Feeding would be recommended although this is not necessary.
